About Me

My photo
I am someone who always wanted to write, but never took the time. So now you can read my thoughts for the moment. Keeping up with my little family seems hectic at times...but it's my favorite thing to do!

Easter 2011

We started off like any other morning...until Ainsley made her usual bathroom break, that suddenly became unusual!
My sweet child began vomitting...and not just a little bit.  We have done this on another occasion where she doesn't really act like she feels bad and then all of sudden IT HITS!
After a couple trips to the bathroom, she was starting to act a little more normal.
So I brought her what the Easter Bunny had left her. She loved it!

But soon after, she was down again.  Joe and I got ready for church at Maranatha with the family, but I really didn't assume we would (could) go.
But she wanted to hunt eggs GO BAD, she got up and got in the tub and went off to church.
We had to make a couple quick trips to the bathroom during church and lunch afterwards and Mammy finally convinced her that we could hunt eggs later at Mammy's house.  It was raining and it would be easier that way.  So finally she agreed to go home.
We all laid down to watch toons and she took a good nap.  When she woke up she was ready to hunt eggs, so we headed over to Mammy's house.  It took a little while, but after some Mt Dew (yay caffeine) and a few bites, she was getting back to her old self.
So we sent KK, Ainsley and Crew to Mammy's room so we could hide over 100 eggs!  (they didn't even peek!)
And then the HUNT began...

Showing me their "loot"....but the look on Crew's face is the best part of the picture!

It turned out to be a pretty dreary Easter Sunday for us, but we got to spend the day together just the 3 1/2 off us!  And since I work weekends, that is something to be grateful for!
And we can't forget the other one...baby was present, as well.
Only 8 more days until we find out...

Ainsley's 1st "last day of school"

Today was Ainsley's last day of school
It has been a bumpy road...but we both made it!  It was such a bitter sweet day for both of us.  I can't believe it went by so fast.  And she didn't want it to end!  She even told a friend she would see them on Monday.
The class hosted a picnic for the final day and everyone brought such fun goodies.  And I got to talk to some of the other moms I don't get to see too often.  (I'm assuming these will be my friends for years to come)
We both enjoyed getting to visit and "play" with our friends.
The teachers posted a little something said by all of the children throughout the school year.
I can honestly say, I have been in this position many times.  And you know we NEVER go without Dolly Dolphin.

Today all of the kids drew on a big sheet for the picnic.  I'm not sure exactly what this is...but she said it was me in the middle.  :)
After we ate, Ainsley headed out to play with her friends...

She's writing her name on the sidewalk.

Then, of course, she headed for the swings.

Laney joined her.  Ainsley really likes Laney.
At the first of the year, Ainsley had only one friend at school.  Her name was Ryan.
Ryan has a sister...and this is Laney.
She and Ainsley get along VERY well and Laney will be attending school next  year with Ainsley.
So good times ahead for us!!
Then on to the slide!
Ainsley, Laney, Alexis and Ryan
They tried to teeter totter...but just couldn't make it work
We played and played...and then it was time to head home.
The teachers wanted to give Ainsley a hug, but only one was in her sights.
This is her favorite teacher, Mrs. Cook
I'm so excited that Mrs Cook will be back for the fall of next year.
I could not be more greatful for all of Ainsley's teachers this year.  As I said, we had a bumpy road and none of us would have survived without their patience and dedication.  We all just wanted Ainsley to like going to school there and they never gave up on her.

The teacher had such a good theme this week about Animals Moms and their Babies.  And you know how much Ainsley LOVES babies.
On Tues they got to take care of 5 baby chicks all throught class time.  Surprisingly enough, Ainsley didn't want to hold them.  But after class I got to to hold one so I could take a picture of her.

And on Friday...it was EGG HUNG day!  Of course, it was cold and windy that day, so they moved the hunt inside.  They took all the kids upstairs and brought them down 3 at a time to hunt.
Ainsley, Cooper and Miley were first.
They ran around and found their 5 eggs!

She wasn't really interested in showing me what she got...because right after they had SNACK TIME!
Ainlsey finally enjoys her snack for the morning.
The school year was difficult for me and Ainsley.  It was a tough road to take, but we both stuck it out! And now I can finally say she LOVES it.  I don't have to stay at all anymore.  And she plays with her friends and doesn't even stick close to just one teacher.  (Mrs Cook is still her favorite, she says)
I really got to see her enjoy time with her friends this day!

Under the Sea

"Just sit down and watch me sing."
This is a quote from my shy, don't look at me child!  Can you believe that?!?

She just might sing after all!
ENJOY!
