About Me

My photo
I am someone who always wanted to write, but never took the time. So now you can read my thoughts for the moment. Keeping up with my little family seems hectic at times...but it's my favorite thing to do!

Head, shoulders, knees and TOES!

My child.  She just gets hurt so easily.  I blame it on the absentmindedness of a four year old.  But truthfully, the accident "proneness" is genetic.  My mishaps come in 3's...and Ainsley is definitely going to feel the burn of that one!
After a fun day of shopping, she was running with Lucy and tripped over a plastic suitcase thing (yes, that's is the name of it).  She cut up her two littlest toes in the process.
(reference the left foot toes)

Because of this injury, all of the closed toed shoes hurt.  So in the middle of December, I allowed her to wear flip flops.  (not my brightest idea).
She was at my brothers house playing and I picked her up around 830pm-it was dark.  At the edge of Noah's driveway is a curb.  This curb has a broken piece.
I have soup, sprouts, diaper bag, Ainsley's bag and Millie in a car seat in my hands/arms.
The big girl Ainsley is, she has a bag of chips and drink in hand, opened the passenger side door for herself.
Standing on this broken piece of curb, she lost her balance and the curb flipped onto the big toe.
(reference the little cuts on the right foot)
I really don't know what else to do with this girl!!
So I took pictures.  :)
And then I looked at this picture...and I had a little deja vu.
Look at these little feet that match!!
And so my picture taking to document her crazy injuries turned into a fun sister session!
They were just watching toons in mama's bed.
Yes, my 4 year old still has a binkie.  We're working on it.

I knew that I would love having two girls.  But I cannot describe how I feel when I see them love each other.
Amelia just looks at Ainsley like she is a real life Princess.  And Ainsley takes such joy in making Amelia laugh.  She takes such good care of her.
These little random, everyday moments are my favorite!

3 months

Amelia is 3 months old!
It's too fast....It's too fast....
Nana bought her this fun Christmas quilt for her first Christmas.
Isn't it adorable?!?!
So, of course, I had to take some pics of her on it.

She's smiling so much more now.  And she is such a busy body!

What a beautiful gift we have received in our littlest princess.
She still doesn't sleep through the night, but is mostly happy when she wakes up.  Her smiles make the VERY early mornings seem ok.
She is working so hard to roll over from back to front.  Although, she isn't crazy about being on her tummy. She likes to be carried facing out so she can see everything.
She LOVES watching her sister play.

I can't help but want her to stay little.  She is my last little baby (according to our plans), but I love watching her learn.  She is so inquisitive and loves to watch what you're doing.
I can't wait for the new days and new things.

Christmas Dance!

Ainsley had her Christmas dance on December 3rd...and she did so much better than last year!
I made her a frilly outfit to dance in...and a BIG BOW!
She tried to smile the entire time, just like Miss Emily said to.

They are just so precious!  I love watching them dance...they get better and better.
You can't tell them now that they aren't REAL dancers.  :)

Books...books...and more books!

On the last day of school, Ainsley's class had a book exchange.
I knew she would love this, because she LOVES books!
This was also a special day because most of the teachers would be leaving and new teachers would be coming for the Spring semester.

They would pass the books left....and then pass the books right.

She was giving Dr Gower the "thumbs up" that everyone had a book.  (she seems enthused, doesn't she?) :)

Opening them up was much more fun!
She got a big Curious George book.
