Let's all go to the zoo!

For some reason, Maloree wanted to take the kids to the zoo for her Senior Skip Day!

Bless her heart...because they were so excited!  They love it when Mal plays with them!

So on Wed...off we went!

Look how much they are having just waiting in line to go in!

First we headed to the Children's Zoo.

One look at the slide and off they went!

Even Maloree joined in the fun!

Then we headed to the petting zoo...which Ainsley was pumped about!

My sweet girl would live with the animals if she could. (she did not get this from here mama, I'll tell you that!)

Only at the zoo do you tell your kids to run into a heard of sheep!

As we walked around looking at the animals, the girls discovered all the "animal figures" to take pictures with.

And we took pics with all of them!  (by afternoon they were hot, so we had to pass on some)

We had told the girls all about the new baby elephant...so, of course, we were asked and asked and asked

and asked and asked...

And finally we made it to her!

Apparently we had waited so long they needed a snack while we waited in line!  I didn't get any pics of her b/c of the glare on the glass, but she was SO CUTE!  I think we may need another trip to visit her again.

Along our walks we came across some fun toys, as well.  It was hot, so we didn't get to play on all of the them.

They wanted to show of their "hanging" abilities.

We stopped by to feed the fish..and I couldn't believe my eyes!  There was a swarm of catfish right at the edge of the water!  I've never seen so many all at one time outside of a fish tank!  It was amazing.

It was so cool for them to see, too.

The kids were getting pretty weary, so we hopped on the tram for a ride before we headed home!

We had a terrific day at the zoo!  And we can't wait to go back!  (but this mama could live without the sunburn I recieved!)
