About Me

My photo
I am someone who always wanted to write, but never took the time. So now you can read my thoughts for the moment. Keeping up with my little family seems hectic at times...but it's my favorite thing to do!

Ainsley turns 4!!

Princess Ainsley turns 4!!
This year we had two different birthday parties.  One early in the day for her friends and one in the evening for her family.  My house just isn't big enough for both!
So for the first party, we headed to Norman to the Gymboree Play Place and celebrated with Princesses and Pirates.
It was such a fun time for all the kids!

Keepin It Sweet and Saradee's Sweet Treats provided cookies and cupcakes

Of course, all the princesses needed tiaras and the pirates needed eye patches

Cute little waters for parents!

When everyone started arriving, the kiddos just headed to the gym to play around before we got started
Mr Matt had all the kids help blow out a really BIG candle to start off Ainsley's birthday celebration!

We chose a Princess theme (of course) so all of the play was geared toward being "royal"
So all the kids crossed the bridge and waved at their "royal subjects" (aka their parents)

Then as all royals do...we tea and cookies
but we had to roll out the dough for the cookies first!  don't they look so good!

Then we put the cookies in the oven...
waited for them to cook...
then enjoyed!

After our snack, they had to conquer the "bubble blowing dragon"

And there is no princess who doesn't kiss a frog once in awhile...
And like all royals, riding horses is a must!

We finished up our gym play with parachute time!
BUBBLES!
Then on to the REAL snacks!
(doesn't she look like she's having the best time?!?)

While the kids (and parents) were enjoying the goodies, the kids could get their faces painted.
I really didn't think Ainsley would do this.  We have been to fairs, etc..and she would NEVER do it.
But apparently, since it was ALL about her, she joined in the fun!

This isn't all the kids, just the ones that would pose for me!
Aren't they cute?!?!?

And now on to the 2nd party of the day...

Grandma Janice made her cake...and she was SUPER excited it was an actual dolls that she could keep

What a day!!  It was all about her and she loved every minute!  And since her actual birthday isn't until Wed, and she starts school that day, we get another little party at school.

This crazy girl has blessed us far beyond what we ever even imagined.  4 years of living in her world just isn't enough...here's to many, MANY more!

Ainsley,
Mommy and Daddy love you so much!
I hope you never go one day without knowing you are our sunshine.
Happy 4th Birthday!

Amelia's Baby Sprinkle

On Saturday we had a FABULOUS little shower for our new princess!
I can't believe we recieved so much stuff!!  It was super cute and so much fun!
Here we are ready to go!
35 weeks...let the countdown begin!

Saradee made the cutest cookies with her initials!

M&Ms...they said "It's a GIRL" and her name on them!

Keepin' It Sweet cupcakes...Mmmmm....

Her name banner...it was so cute!

Once we got there, Ainsley went straight up stairs to play with KK and Haddee.
And this is what she looked like when she came down stairs.  I guess a real princess always has to wear her tiara!
All of the wonderful presents we received!  We are beyond blessed to have such good friends and family.
Mommy and Daddy

I have a picture of me, Nana and Mammy at my shower for Ainsley...so we took another one for Amelia.
But, of course, I had to have ALL my little people involved!
After we packed up and headed home, I had one tired little girl!  She partied hard....
...maybe a little "too" hard!

Sept 15, 2011 is the big day to meet Miss Amelia Neal.
I can hardly wait!
But until then, I'll continue to work on her room and hope it's done by then!

Love to Dance Camp!

Ainsley was so excited to go back to dance with Miss Emily!
I watched for the first day just to see what went on.
They all were so cute!
First, they did a little ballet...

Then they had a snack...
Ainsley came home everyday and told me what kind of snack she had!
While they were still at the table, they would make a craft!
The first day they made necklaces...didn't they do a great job?!?!
Other crafts they made were:
a Rapunzel Hat
colored a Rapunzel picture
decorated a hairbrush "just like Rapunzel"

After the craft portion of the day, Miss Nancy read them a Rapunzel story.
Then they did a little tapping.

On the last day, all the parents got to come and see them do the dances they learned at camp.
(I keep trying to upload the video...hopefully it will work soon!)

At the end of the program, every girl got a certificate and surprise from Miss Emily.
Here is Ainsley accepting hers...
Here's the whole class!
They had their picture in the Chickasha Leader. Aren't they just adorable?!?!
