About Me

My photo
I am someone who always wanted to write, but never took the time. So now you can read my thoughts for the moment. Keeping up with my little family seems hectic at times...but it's my favorite thing to do!

123rd??

As you know, my family and I bowled in a tournament in Wichita, KS this past March.  It was so fun..and that's exactly why we do it.  FOR FUN! (except Noah-he actually wins!)
But you can imagine my suprise when Noah called me one afternoon to tell me that He and I (bowling doubles) had won 123rd place and we both a check for $13.00.
$13?!?!
I have never been so proud of $13 in my life!  That's because I've never seriously competed in anything and WON money!  NEVER!!

Maybe next year we can win 122nd place!
Ahhh....to dream...

Happy Birthday to Brady and Baxter

Our nephews birthday parties were this past Saturday.
Bax had a Mickey cake and Brady went with Spiderman-it was so much fun!
Here are close up pics of their cakes:

But the presents were the most exciting thing for them

They opened the gifts we got them-lots of outdoor toys!
(bug catchers, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, etc...)
And then the kiddos went outside to play and try out some of the new toys!

The bubble guns were a big hit.

But when it got too hot, we all went inside to play with the trains.  Bax is a big fan of Thomas the Train.
After a long day of fun and a little bit to eat...the kids jumped in the tub.
Ainsley never has anyone to play with in the bath, so she was PUMPED.
Here are the little rascals with their "fun" towels on
Woody-a puppy-Buzz

On the drive up, Joe and I were talking about how I was pregnant with Ainsley at Brady's First Bday party, and Joe just happened to have a picture of me on his phone!
Since my girls have a due date so close together, I thought I would compare and see how different (or the same) I look 4 years later.
Brady's 1st bday party was on May 19, 2007
Brady's 5th bday party was on May 21, 2011
Same?

Maloree Graduates!

Friday night, Maloree graduated from CHS Class of 2011.
Yipee!
Ainsley and Crew clapped really loud when Maloree walked

We were so excited and proud of her!
Afterwards, we all went to Su's.  And, of course, snapped some pictures.

While I was uploading these pics, I started thinking just how fast time goes by.  My friends and I used to babysit these two roudy girls when they were little.
So, of course, I did some digging and came across pics from my graduation and Noah's graduation with just us girls in it.
I don't think we've changed much....do you?

Just Dance!

This Saturday was Ainsley's Spring Dance Recital
Well, we all know that at the Christmas Recital, she just stood there! So I was anticipating the same for the Spring Recital!
But she was so excited about all of it!  Her costumes, the music, the big stage...
She thought those costumes made her a real ballerina!
I don't know what it was...but she DANCED!  Danced the whole dance!  In the middle of the stage!  With mom no where in sight!  I was amazed...and that is an understatement!  She did so good!
Here she is in her ballet outfit!

An onto the stage...the pics are a little blurry.  No flash can be used, but they all look so cute anyway!

Then we had to wait!  With 10 three and four year olds...this is not an easy task.  Sandy and I were the stage moms and to say the least, we were exhausted!  But we brought colors and snacks-that kept them occupied for a few minutes!  :)

Then is was time to tap!
My cute little chicken!

At the end, they all took their bows.

They were all so proud of themselves.  And looked good doing it!
I'm still in shock my shy child enjoyed dancing in front of A LOT of people.  But I loved it...I hope she continues to enjoy dancing.  And maybe she can teach her little sister some moves, too!
I can see it now...my life full of tutu's, tap shoes, big bows and MAKE-UP!
(Poor Joe!)

Easter Pics

Ainsley got her pictures taken by Shelby right before Easter.  He had bunnies and chicks and I KNEW she would LOVE it!
I was so very right!
Here are "some" of her proofs

If you ever want pictures that will make your heart melt...he's the one to call!
